Accpac provide tools to backup database called database dump, backup is very important action that have todo by Accpac Administrator, I don't talk much more about why we must have backup . Database Dump extracts data from a Sage Accpac ERP database and then stored or loaded into Accpac ERP database ,

To run DBDUMP ( Database dump ) below the steps ;

1. You can log in to your accpac and choose start from administrative service (database dump) ( Admin right) ->( this only backup one company)
   
2. Or from the Windows Start Menu, choose Sage Accpac/Tools/Database Dump or click the Database Dump icon. -> (if you choose this you can easy DBDUMP multiple company).
   
3. Type the ADMIN password for Sage Accpac ERP, then click OK.
   
4. Select the database for the data to be extracted. (Database Dump finds the database list from the SharedData entry in the Windows registry.)
   
5. Click the Set Directory button, then enter the folder where you want to put the extracted data files (called datasets). Database Dump creates a control file with filename extension ".DCT" in the folder you specify, and puts the actual extracted data in a subfolder of the same name as the DCT. The default location of the folder is \\Sage Accpac\Runtime.
   

The name of the control file is the database ID with the ".DCT" extension.

1. Click the Dump button to proceed.
   
2. if you choose from Administrative Service you can only selected active company
   

Note: You must retain both the control file and its associated subfolder when storing extracted data.

Tips: For easy tracking I suggested to making filename with date eq. 01022008
